Rex Sole with fresh salsa and rice – 7 April 2011

D stopped at the Bowl on the way home and bought some wild caught Rex Sole that was on sale. He had made a large vat of fresh salsa yesterday, and cooked the fish with that (started the fish sauteeing, but added the salsa pretty much immediately).

He microwaved the rest of the pilaf that was leftover from I think Saturday. It was all really good, though avoiding eating Sole bones was a challenge.

He decided to have that same ale with this, and it really went well.

He also made a new loaf of bread today – 5/6 bread flour (King Arthur) and 1/6 whole wheat, plus a smattering of those fines from the end of the Grape Nuts box that are icky with milk but give fascinating flavor to bread.
