Brie and bread before the City Council meeting – 29 March 2011

Another City Council meeting – more fruitless time being spent when the outcome has already been decided {sigh}. But we had a good brie for dinner, anyway. Actually, we took this meal to City Hall so we could also go to the part of the evening about the Ecology Center at 5:30. But by the time we both got home and got to City Hall at 6, the upstairs was full to legal capacity; so we went home, had dinner, and then came back for the West Berkeley Project part at 7:15. Got to have wine with dinner at home, anyway 🙂

D cut up carrots, red and green peppers, and cauliflower, and some of the old Italian Batard from Acme. The wine – just a glass apiece left – was the rest of the Chateau Bonnet from last night, which was great, especially for my throat after a long day of teaching.

I really love this brie. It’s friendly and extremely flavorful, with no negatives. Probably unsophisticated, but who cares.
