Leftover spaghetti with leftover tomato-mushroom sauce – 20 March 2011

It suddenly turned out to be almost 8pm, endangering D’s vow to get to bed at a reasonable hour. He decided just to heat up some leftover pastas (cappellini and linguine – both!) by tossing them briefly into boiling water (the way restaurants do… or some of them, anyway). He reheated the sauce from a couple nights ago, and grated some parmesan to go over the top.

The sponge-like item at the left is a chunk of bread without crusts, so I can eat it easily. {{sigh}} This too shall pass. We tried out an inexpensive Bordeaux from Moulin de Ferrand, and found it had a good taste. We had some of their Entre-deux-mers last year and really liked it.

D had bought the strangest, bent pear at the Bowl, and we had that for dessert. It was still crispy but very tasty.
