Leftover chicken, rice and veggies, all in a moosh – 13 February 2011

And it was simply GREAT! A sumptuous taste, blending all the flavors from last night into one delicious dish.

I actually suggested this to D, who was not interested in cooking so much this evening. But he got into it after finding this easy and good meal to do. He cut up a lot of chunks of chicken and added a lot of the leftover rice and veggies. There is still some of everything left, too – chicken for sandwiches, rice and veggies for I know not what. Anyway, it was a perfectly wonderful dinner.

D brought up a wine from the Bowl that I had never seen – a new one from “Tuscany’s winemaking frontier, close to the Maremma seaboard.” It’s called “Sabbie, Morelling di Scansano D.O.C.G.” and cost $9.95 at the Bowl. I thought it was really tasty and I think we should get more of it. It’s a mixture of Sangiovese (85%) and two grapes I’ve never heard of: Ciliegiolo (10%) and Alicante (5%).
