Spaghetti with dry sausage, mushrooms, and sundried tomatoes; zucchini with onions – 11 February 2011

D bought a sausage – I think Saag’s but I’m not sure – and used it to flavor this nice pasta.

He added sundried tomatoes and mushrooms and sauteed the lot, then served it over spaghetti. For a veggie, he sliced zucchini and sauteed with diced sweet red Italian onion.

He also delivered some cauliflower and fennel  before dinner.

We had just a little of the Grace Pugliese left.

He  brought up the Uvaggio Barbera, a California wine that works really well with food. We got this after a Berkeley Bowl wine tasting, but D had forgotten how good it was, and was pleasantly surprised.
